Elegance and Comfort

Softness and Luxury Feel

Cashmere contributes additional warmth and a plush feel, making the yarn ideal for garments that are warm but not bulky. It offers a luxurious softness thanks to cashmere, combined with the resilience, elasticity, and breathability of fine wool.

ALL-YEAR ROUND

Warmth and Versatility

Cashmere helps maintain softness against skin, ideal for pieces worn close to the body. Extra-fine wool is naturally insulating, breathable, and moisture-wicking - keeping warm when it’s cold, and allowing airflow when it’s warmer. This blend is very versatile, making it ideal for garments worn close to skin (sweaters, scarves) and luxurious enough for special pieces.

FAQ

Extra-fine and Cashmere Blend Benefits

Softness and Luxury Feel: Cashmere adds a silky, luxurious touch, it's one of the softest animal fibers. The 10% cashmere gives a subtle, elegant softness.
Good Warmth-to-Weight Ratio: Extra-fine Wool is naturally insulating, breathable, and moisture-wicking. Cashmere contributes additional warmth and a plush feel, making the yarn ideal for garments that are warm but not bulky.
Durability and Resilience: Wool is strong, elastic, and resists wrinkling; when blended with cashmere, you retain much of that durability.
Versatility: This blend is known as ideal for lightweight sweaters, cardigans, accessories (scarves, hats), even fine garments. Because of the strength of the wool, it's practical for everyday wear.
Breathability and Comfort: Wool fibers (especially fine ones) help regulate temperature - keeping warm when it’s cold, and allowing airflow when it’s warmer. Cashmere helps maintain softness against skin, ideal for pieces worn close to the body.

Natural and Sustainable

Sheep produce a new fleece every year, making wool a fully renewable material

  • Wool fibre naturally decomposes, releasing valuable nutrients back into the soil

Wool is sustainable and 100% renewable. It is very durable and needs less washing than clothing made of other fibers due to lanolin (natural fat) content. Wool and cashmere grows back naturally every year.

  • Sheep are shorn annually.
  • Cashmere goats shed or are combed seasonally.

This makes the fiber fully renewable, unlike synthetic fibers (acrylic, polyester) that rely on petrochemicals. Wool and cashmere break down naturally in soil within months to a few years. During decomposition, they:

  • Release valuable nutrients (nitrogen, sulfur).
  • Do not release microplastics.
  • Do not accumulate in oceans or landfills.

This makes the yarn a far better ecological choice than synthetics, which can take centuries to degrade. It represents also ethical treatment of animals and responsible land management as well as reduced water and energy consumption.

Care and Washing Instructions

How do I take care for the product?

Hand wash it: cool or lukewarm water (around 20–30 °C / 68–86°F) — avoid hot water. Prefer wool-specific detergent (mild, pH-balanced) or cashmere-safe soap.
Avoid Harsh Agitation: Do not wring or twist aggressively.
Rinse Carefully: Gently press out water; you can roll the item in a clean towel to remove excess moisture.
Dry Flat: Lay the piece on a flat surface, reshape it to the correct dimensions, and let it dry naturally. Avoid hanging because wet knitwear can stretch.
Avoid Fabric Softeners: Softener can coat fibers and reduce their natural breathability and loft.
Storage: Store folded rather than hanging to prevent stretching. Use breathable storage (cotton bags) and avoid plastic for long-term storage. Consider moth protection – cedar blocks or lavender sachets can help.
Pilling Management: Gently remove pills with a fabric comb or depilling tool. Avoid over-brushing; cashmere pills tend to come off if done carefully.

Pre-Washed and Ready to Use

Before leaving our knitting facility in Dvorje na Gorenjskem, our products are carefully washed with natural and mild cleaning agents. This means they are ready for immediate use, and after the first wash will not alter their shape. The more you wash it, the more the lanolin goes out of the wool. All products are always washed in advance and thus get their correct
shape.
